Brian R. Murer, D.C.
Brian R. Murer, D.C., the director of Bloomington Sports and Wellness, completed his undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. He received his doctorate in Chiropractic studies from Parker College of Chiropractic. Dr. Murer is certified in the application of Frequency Specific Micro-Current and Masters Level certified in Active Release Techniques. Dr. Murer has completed numerous hours of post graduate training in functional rehabilitation.
Dr. Murer spent five years as the staff chiropractor at Orthopedics of Southern Indiana. At OSI, he worked side by side with orthopedic surgeons gaining valuable insight into medical diagnosis and triage of orthopedic problems. He also serves as a consultant to the Indiana University athletic department collaborating on difficult soft-tissue problems.
Dr. Murer is a proud resident of Bloomington. He enjoys everything about living in our great town. When not working and spending time with his wife and two children, he likes to cycle, golf, run and swim.

Amanda Smith, D.C.
Dr. Amanda Smith D.C., associate chiropractor at Bloomington Sports and Wellness, is from Washington, Indiana. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at Indiana State University. Dr. Smith received her doctorate in Chiropractic studies from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri where she developed an interest in Complementary Sports Medicine, issues specific to the female athlete, and pain during pregnancy. She is a candidate for the Masters degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation from Logan College. She is certified in Lower Extremity Active Release Techniques. Dr. Smith looks forward to completing her full body certification in Active Release Technique in 2010.
Dr. Smith is excited to be returning to her home state and looks forward to meeting and assisting the wonderful people of Bloomington!

Melissa Noble, LMT
Melissa Noble is a Licensed Massage Therapist holding licenses in Indiana and Washington State. She is also a certified instructor and instructor trainer in the STOTT Pilates method. Melissa, the founder of Bodycenter Studio in Seattle, Washington, has been assisting clients with injuries using massage and Pilates since 1996. A former professional dancer, Melissa began studying Pilates after a knee injury. She has studied Pilates with Michelle Miller, Cary Regan and Jane Erskine. In Seattle, Melissa developed a long standing consulting relationship with Movement Systems Physical Therapy and taught the Instructor Training at the Physical Mind Institute at Erskine Fitness. She has completed several trainings in the upper and lower extremity based on the work of Paul Hodges. After moving to Bloomington in 2007, she opened Bodycenter Bloomington, a private practice of massage and Pilates that focuses in the treatment of injuries. Melissa will be assisting Dr. Murer with Frequency Specific Microcurrent and the instruction of functional exercises.

Betsy Clawson – Patient Services
Betsy Clawson, a life-long resident of the Bloomington area, completed a Bachelors degree in education from Indiana University. She has more than ten years experience in the medical and legal fields. Betsy has been married for 22 years and has three children. In her spare time, Betsy enjoys being involved in her children’s sporting and school activities. She also loves being outdoors in our beautiful southern Indiana. Betsy is responsible for all of the patients front office needs.
